The project has been running since February 2022.
His reference Yaquelin Franco, prior to the start of this proposal, participated in a popular soup kitchen in the area and then began this on his own.
It is located in the Flor de Maroñas neighborhood, and it operates in the referent’s house, at the entrance through the gate, and food is delivered outdoors.
It operates on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., where prepared milk and something to accompany it are delivered. In turn, when there are enough food supplies, they are distributed among the families that attend.
The picnic area serves approximately 80 people, including mothers who are heads of households and their sons and daughters.
It is sustained through inputs received from Uruguay Adelante and the ABC Plan of the Municipality of Montevideo. In the case of Uruguay Adelante’s contribution, Yaquelin informs us that it ends in the month of April 2023.
It is necessary to support with donations and contributions from society, as well as from companies that can donate so that the project can be sustained.
